  Queen Charlotte Islands
Find yourself in a place of Wonder!

The Queen Charlotte Islands/Haida Gwaii are 300 km long, tucked under the coastline of islands that form the Alaska panhandle.
They are located 75 km from the American border, approximately 120 km west of the outer islands of the northern BC coastline and
770 km by air from Vancouver, BC.

The climate in the Queen Charlotte Islands is very mild. The annual temperature is a balmy 8°C (46°F). The summer temperatures are similar to those in northern and central BC. The winter temperatures, however, are moderated by a Japanese current and are much warmer than winter temperatures in inland BC and the rest of Canada.

Wildlife viewing and eco-adventures are popular in the Queen Charlotte Islands. Visitors can watch various birds or
catch site of migrating whales, seals and sea lions. World class fishing lodges and coastal resorts offer saltwater
and salmon fishing adventures that are among British Columbia's finest. Plus, the many freshwater streams offer
excellent flyfishing and stream fishing. Hiking, biking and walking on the beaches or numerous trails provides outdoor
nthusiasts with exercise and enjoyment.
